Simplots will appeal Boise's JUMP denial | Boise, Garden City, Mountain Home | Idaho Statesman
The Simplot family has announced it will appeal the city's denial of its $70 million JUMP project.
The Boise Design Review Committee voted 4-3 on Oct. 13 to deny the project because it did not comply with city development and design guidelines.
Boise planning staff has recommended the project be approved.
The Boise Planning and Zoning Commission is tentatively scheduled to consider the appeal at its Dec. 13 meeting.
Jack's Urban Meeting Place (JUMP) is a proposed development and outdoor park celebrating Idaho's agriculture heritage -- including displaying antique tractors -- with modern-day twists. It would be built on a 7-acre vacant lot between Front and Myrtle streets and 9th and 11th streets.
I think this would be cool.
