Random Thought from March 2002
On a beautiful twilit evening, Dragon-fly dances the sky making his evening meal of gnats and mosquitoes. A large-ish spider lowers herself by increments on a silken thread, watching me... I will see her web compleat in the morning dew. A tiny garden spider makes her perfect little orb on a stalk and fruiting head of grass. She connects the spiralling threads to her anchor threads, pink, pink, pink, touching her spinneret to each in turn, leaving behind a strand of silk so fine as to be invisible in the fading light. So ends another perfect day.
