I start where I left off last year and clear out the grass and undergrowth in areas defined by natural boundaries, leaving scattered areas where insects and rodents can make their homes and where the plant life can make its own way, which helps me determine what likes to be homed where. We're having a hard time seeing what's coming just now as one cycle ends and another begins, and it's causing a sense of concern that we and our partners are going to face material hardship.
