Energy of the Day Sunday, 10-19-08

The Three of Swords tells us to be very careful today, particularly in personal relationships and what we allow to affect us from the outside. Separation and disappointment can be expected as we experience dissension and adversity, and delays in our business dealings, making this an ideal time to consider how we want to restructure what's broken in the process. Thoughtful choices here will allow for balanced beauty to arise anew from the foundations we've been building along the way.

The Wheel of Fortune says it's time to implement that controversial idea we've been waiting to put into action. Of course, before we do it's important to check our plans and adjust for what we haven't seen happening and what comes unexpectedly today, but provided we've been building on a solid foundation and keeping our eyes open along the way we can expect auspicious results. Current news and information matter in a real way here, and conflicts of interest ought to be resolved before we move forward.

The Three of Cups puts today's focus squarely on us, on what we can do to improve our health and well-being, how we can grow spiritually, and what we can learn about ourselves, the world around us (including the animals in our lives), and how we and it affect one another. Social interactions are at the forefront, in which we'll do well to express ourselves fully but with regard for how we feel about doing so. Body, mind, and spirit come together here to offer a unique opportunity for understanding and growth.

The Seven of Cups has us searching for truth and the power it brings. Experiences of the life-altering sort can leave us feeling inadequate and confused in all the most important arenas, but if we allow ourselves to be touched by what is greater or more than ourselves we stand a good chance of taking something meaningful from today's events. We'll do well here to maximize on whatever is positive and enduring of the things that attract us through magnetic beauty.

The Hanged Man turns everything upside-down and asks us to look from a new perspective. Everything's changing and there's a danger of falling into hopelessness as we reevaluate our lives and our values, but where one dream is uprooted space is left for another to arise or those within which we're already working to grow, or just for us to more comfortably wander the garden paths of our own minds. The thing to do here is wait and see what feels like the right motivation and direction.

The Page of Swords encourages interaction with a down-to-earth person who understands material comfort as we seek ideas for fostering growth. Controlled reactions will serve us here as we experience the unexpected in our relationships, and while it's a good idea to get (or keep) moving we want to listen carefully to any messages we receive in the process. The best ideas are those we feel confident we can implement and that carry a significant chance of creating real change in our physical worlds.

Fighting

If time is money, then time spent fighting is like paying to be in a cage match. What's the point? And I don't mean just fighting with our families or the people we work with or the people who drive other cars, but time spent fighting, for instance, disease, or crime, or people we're protecting from their fearsome rulers. When we fight disease, we contribute to it's energy on a very real level. Stress takes a toll on the immune system, where calm and understanding boost it's efficiency. If instead of acting out of fear when disease is present in our lives we stop and find a way to understand it's presence - not find a place to put blame, but just look at our lives in the moment and see where we hurt and what makes us angry or frustrated - we can begin to address the source of the discomfort. Spiritual wounds, energetic wounds, manifest in the physical and the physical world feeds back into the spirit. If we are ill now (no matter how we got that way) it will cre

The King of Pentacles asks us to seek out someone with a fresh, intelligent perspective as we wind down old projects and bring new ones to the fore. Communication, particularly with those in positions of power, brings to bear passion and enlightenment regarding our physical worlds, and art of any kind is our best bet for self-expression today. What matters most is that we go with the flow and not get too heated unless we're hoping for a rather messy, potentially devastating explosion.
