Moments of Awareness

Happy birthday, little Dude! The Five of Swords brings frustration, struggle, even defeat, that can result in a depressed feeling. Our best bet is to forego superficialities and focus on what we can actually accomplish in the realms of work, love, and health. There's magnetic beauty to be found today if we can just immerse ourselves in the atmosphere.

The Page of Cups brings us into contact with a dreamer (or an illusionist) for discussion of future business projects. It's important not to let what we want to see color what we're actually seeing, and to keep our perspective from being muddied as our visions unfold and our worlds expand. We'll do well to approach today's meetings with an open heart.

The High Priestess asks us to find balance between the positive and negative, to watch and learn. Public relations are at the forefront, with trade and negotiation being the main focus. Once our emotions are steady it's time to apply what we've learned.

The King of Pentacles directs us to finish up old projects and start new ones, seeking the thoughts of a wordy, innocent (or naive) intellectual along the way. Communication through art and the media is today's focus with our minds offering up substantial heat that may sputter, flow, or explode, depending upon what we put forth and how. Sure and steady (not necessarily slow) thinking brings the best results.

The Hermit tells us we're approaching a turn in life, readying ourselves to move from one phase to the next but not yet making the actual change. People from the past may be involved as we find solutions in the present and make adjustments accordingly, perfecting where we are as the platform for where we're going. Self-analysis brings the clarity that allows us to go forth with confidence when the time is right to start the next leg of our journey.

The Ten of Swords asks us to tie up the loose ends, clean up the dust bunnies, and skim off the ponds of our lives. Unfinished business and stagnant conditions will stymie progress in every area and now is the time to address those things. Self-expression is favored here, especially of the creative, wordy variety, but controlled reactions are necessary in order to avoid potential unwanted explosions.
