Daily Horoscope for Saturday, March 18, 2006

In general, we’re in a place of dealing with that which was passed down to us by our forebears. As we dream this early morning there’s a bit of a tug of war between the ideas of working for what we get or having it given to us and which is 'better'. As we wake up and move toward starting our day, we’re weighed down a bit with the feeling that what is passed down to us stands in the way of properly nurturing our friendships, but as we move toward midmorning ( MST ) we begin to see that we can use those legacies to enrich our homes and family lives which gives us a stronger base from which to offer friendship and all that it entails. There’s a period of confliction between this dream and our more usual philosophy on life, and the afternoon is a bit of an emotional roller-coaster as we oscillate between thoughts of friends, career, and dreams, sometimes engaged by the possibilities and sometimes annoyed or even discouraged by seeming obstacles. This continues through the early ev

Daily Horoscope for Friday, March 17, 2006

We wake from a night of dreams in which our world schema has been dismantled, examined, and rebuilt, and spend our morning conversing with partners and sorting through our plans for the parts that stand up to close examination. Midmorning there’s some disagreement or dissonance between us as dreams collide without necessarily matching up, but a philosophical approach leads us to cooperation through which greater opportunity than we’d previously seen becomes possible. The noon hour ( MST ) is fairly quiet, but midafternoon the energy shifts back to one of mild agitation which interferes with communication between us and our friends and loved ones. We want to brainstorm, to talk things through, but there’s this niggling itch underneath that asks us to keep things light. That’s not to say we ought not to examine the issues at hand, only that it’s important right now not to let the little itch turn into a big problem. In the early evening we feel our past creeping into our thoughts and ch

Daily Horoscope for Thursday, March 16, 2006

As we move into this day we're asked to look into and put aside all remaining illusions regarding our intentions, bringing on another bout of transformation. We spend some time questioning where to push ahead and where to reserve our energy, but around the time we get up and get our days started (at least in MST ) our bodies have figured it out and get us moving in the right direction. By early afternoon our minds have followed and everything begins to come together. Around 5:30 PM we come full circle to the energies with which we came into the day, but rather than competing they now complement one another and we can spend the evening resting in a comfortable awareness of our place in the world.

from long ago yet for today!

From: Jennifer J. My pal Maureen had this on her blog! Had to share it! Even if you're not "religious" it's really nice! ********************************************************************************* 17th Century Nun's Prayer Lord, You know better than I know myself that I am growing older and will someday be old. Keep me from the fatal habit of thinking I must say something on every subject and on every occasion. Release me from craving to straighten out everybody's affairs. Make me thoughtful but not moody; helpful but not bossy. With my vast store of wisdom it seems a pity not to use it all, but you know, Lord, that I want a few friends at the end. Keep my mind free from the recital of endless details; give me wings to get to the point. Seal my lips on my aches and pains. They are increasing and the love of rehearsing them is becoming sweeter as the years go by. I dare not ask for grace enough to enjoy the tal

Daily Horoscope for Wednesday, March 15, 2006

After a fairly quiet morning, things start bubbling up around 11:30 MST . We begin to worry that our plans in recent days have been based too much in dreams and that the fortune we saw as a potential by-product isn't a realistic expectation. As the day progresses we see the reward inherent in doing what we believe in regardless of what material gains it may bring, which reminds us that we get out of any endeavor exactly what we put into it and allows us to see past our baggage although in the late afternoon we find ourselves spiritually resisting the idea. This short bout of inner conflict brings us to a point of evolution (as inner conflict often does) and leads us to focus once again on what we're able to bring to the outer world which allows us by the end of the day, with a minor bump or two along the way, to feel good about where we see ourselves heading.

Daily Horoscope for Tuesday, March 14, 2006

As the day begins our minds are still working with the ideas we had yesterday, and our dreams bring to us awareness of their true magnitude and potential in our lives and the lives of those around us. Around 6 AM MST the larger challenges begin to surface, the ways in which these endeavors may conflict with our usual lifestyle and modes of thinking. The next few hours we find ourselves running through several reasons that this is not going to work for us, but by mid-afternoon we've come inevitably back around to understanding the great benefit for all involved, ourselves included. Late afternoon and early evening are spent digging out and successfully addressing potential obstacles and problems, and by the time we're finished for the day we discover that we're looking at an entirely different proposition from the one we started with. It remains to be seen what this means.

Daily Horoscope for Monday, March 13, 2006

Our dreams are productive this early morning, taking past pain and bringing from it growth and new ideas of how we might be of use to those around us. This in turn is bound to bring us to a better place ourselves, which in turn makes the base from which we're working steadier. Mid-morning (my time, which is Mountain Standard ) we realize there's going to be more work involved in our upcoming efforts than we'd considered, but that the rewards will make it quite worthwhile. Early afternoon we find ourselves so heavily engaged that we choose to skip something we wouldn't on an average day, and shortly thereafter find the avenue we've been looking for into the ventures we're planning. By evening we're emotionally spent and our bodies reflect the feeling. Our motivation flags but that's okay. Tomorrow is another day.

Daily Tarot Reading for Sunday, March 12, 2006

Today's card: Seven of Wands This is a positive day but not without a certain amount of tension, especially surrounding our work or career. Big changes are in store and it will be necessary to meet them with perseverance and conviction, but we're more than capable of making the stands we must today. That's the key to a (very) positive outcome.

The Middle Wife

* Love * this. :-D And you, Peace From: Julie The Middle Wife By An Anonymous Second Grade Teacher I've been teaching now for about fifteen years. I have two kids myself, but the best birth story I know is the one I saw in my own second-grade classroom a few years back. When I was a kid, I loved show-and-tell. So I always have a few sessions with my students. It helps them get over shyness and usually, show-and-tell is pretty tame. Kids bring in pet turtles, model airplanes, pictures of fish they catch, stuff like that. And I never, ever place any boundaries or limitations on them. If they want to lug it in to school and talk about it, they're welcome. Well, one day this little girl, Erica, a very bright, very outgoing kid, takes her turn and waddles up to the front of the class with a pillow stuffed under her sweater. She holds up a snapshot of an infant. "This is Luke, my baby brother, and I'm going to tell you about his bir
