Cholesterol Medication Recall - High Cholesterol - Cardiology Channel

Drug manufacturer Pfizer announced that it recalled almost 200,000 bottles of its blockbuster anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor® (atorvastatin) due to reports of a musty odor coming from some bottles.

 

The recall, which took place in August 2010, involved seven lots of 40 mg Lipitor manufactured by a third-party supplier. Five of the recalled lots were distributed in the United States; two additional lots were distributed in Canada, according to [...]
