Coyote roams Boise streets, evades wildlife agency | Local News | Idaho Statesman

BOISE, Idaho — A stubborn coyote may be roaming the streets of Idaho's capital city, according to state wildlife managers who failed to catch the predator last week.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game says the coyote was discovered Friday after complaints from Boise neighborhoods, but the animal escaped despite being struck by three tranquilizer darts.

Wildlife officers believe the coyote, who appeared used to humans and possibly injured by a car, was able to remove the two and a half-inch long darts.

Dude saw a coyote crossin' 21 near Hilltop just before Thanksgiving break. First one either of us has ever seen, although we've been told they were plentiful around every place we've lived in the last twelve years or so. Hope if they catch it they don't have to kill it.
