Josh Ritter: Scott Hutchison (Frightened Rabbit!) Supports Feb Tour, Dates Added

And Happy Holidays!

And they ARE happy indeed, as we bring you more great news from Josh Ritter headquarters.  Really quick: big thanks to everyone who participated - and bid! - in Josh's auction to raise money for WhyHunger's 2010 Hungerthon.  Hearts were opened, but wow so were the wallets!  A remarkable success, thank you for supporting.

Scott Hutchison (Frightened Rabbit!) Will Open Feb Tour

To paraphrase a lyric from one of our favorite bands, "he's the shit and we're knee-deep in it."  Scott Hutchison, of the band Frightened Rabbit, will be supporting Josh and the band during their February tour of the USA.  As big fans (The Midnight Organ Fight is a classic album), we couldn't be more psyched.

Hutchison, solo acoustic, will be the very special guest, opening the shows from the start of the tour on Feb 10th in Philadelphia through the Feb 26th Los Angeles show.   The "Valentine's Day Brawl" shows - Philly, Boston, NY, DC - will be especially memorable, as Josh and the band have some fun things in store (dedications and such - stay tuned).

That's the news for now, folks. 

Thanks to everyone for the continued support - it was a HELL of a 2010.  We're so happy people embraced the shows and "So Runs The World Away" the way they did, and we'd be lying if we said we weren't flattered by its appearance on so many year-end "Best Of" lists.  Especially ones like NPR's Listeners Top 100 (here) and their Top 50 Albums (here).  Flattered indeed....
