• Boise Rescue Mission: Turkey donations can be dropped at any rescue mission facility, but the food warehouse at 308 S. 24th St. in Boise is the best location. Gift cards from food stores are also welcome. 343-2389.

• CATCH (Charitable Assistance to Community’s Homeless): A program that provides housing first to homeless families with children living in emergency shelters, CATCH needs gift cards for gas, food, clothing and more, including certain housewares, furniture items and cleaning supplies.

• Computers for Kids: The organization, which aims to provide computers for kids in financially stressed families, is experiencing overwhelming demand for its services this year.

Donations accepted at its office, 8540 W. Elisa St. in Boise (between Cole and Maple Grove off Victory Road). Donation hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. You can also donate from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 20-30 (except Christmas Eve) at the University of Phoenix Idaho Campus, 1422 Tech Lane, Meridian. 345-0346.

• Corpus Christi House: The day shelter is in need of coffee (caffeinated, ground or beans), sugar, creamer, tea, peanut butter and jam, razors, toothbrushes, combs, winter gloves.

• Easter Seals/Goodwill: This group provides reentry services for adults leaving prison, workforce development programs for low-income families, autism interventions and employment opportunities in the Treasure Valley.

Needs: full-size hygiene products such as soap, deodorant, shampoo and hair-care products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, shaving cream and first aid supplies.

Donations accepted from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, at 8620 W. Emerald, Ste 100. 672-2900.

• Easter Seals/Goodwill in Nampa, Caldwell, Payette: The Working Solutions program helps families move out of poverty through employment and wrap-around services across the state. In Canyon and Payette counties, families need coats (children and adults, all sizes) and hygiene products for men, women and children. Needs: feminine hygiene products, shampoo and hair-care products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, first aid supplies, etc.

Donations: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday at 1613 N. Parkcentre, Nampa; 714 Cleveland Blvd., Caldwell; 517 N. 16th St., Payette. 466-2671.

• Firefighter Food Drive: The 11th annual Firefighter Food Drive will benefit The Idaho Foodbank. Donations of nonperishable food will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. through Jan. 3 at any fire station throughout Ada and Canyon counties.

• Idaho Education Association Children’s Fund: The fund helps teachers and other school employees statewide meet students’ emergency needs. IEA members have used the fund to arrange for emergency dental work, prescription medications, eyeglasses, warm clothing, shoes and much more.

The fund welcomes donations year-round from interested individuals and organizations. Donations may be made via check payable to the IEA Children’s Fund, c/c Idaho Education Association, 620 N. 6th St., P.O. Box 2638, Boise, ID 83701. 344-1341.

• Interfaith Sanctuary: The shelter for men, women and families has urgent need for warm clothing items for adults — mostly men (some women) — including warm socks, thermal undershirts and long johns. Bring donations to 1620 W. River St., Boise. www.interfaithsanctuary.org.

• Neighbors Helping Neighbors: The nonprofit that supports residents in Star has a food bank in front of Star City Hall open from 3 to 5 p.m. every Thursday and 3 to 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month.

Take nonperishable food donations (canned fruit is especially needed) to City Hall, 10769 W. State St., or the Star Fire Department, 108631 W. State St. Needed items also include personal hygiene and household cleaning products.
