The Boise State wrestling team claimed its sixth Pac-10 title and four Broncos won individual championships Sunday in Corvallis, Ore.

The Broncos, who lost star Kirk Smith to injury, got a tough fight from Oregon State. The Broncos scored 147 points; the Beavers had 137.5.

“It was a battle,” said coach Greg Randall, whose program has won three of the past four Pac-10 titles. “We had to fight hard.”

Seven Broncos earned automatic bids to the NCAA tournament, which begins March 17. Smith is a lock for an at-large bid, and the other two lineup regulars are at-large possibilities.

Boise State’s four champions were senior Andrew Hochstrasser (133 pounds), junior Jason Chamberlain (149), senior Adam Hall (157) and senior Kurt Swartz (165). Hall, ranked No. 2, beat No. 4 Bubba Jenkins of Arizona State in an overtime marathon.
