Idaho Power seeks wind deal OK | Environment | Idaho Statesman

Idaho Power Co. is asking the Idaho Public Utilities Commission to approve the $2.17 million agreement with Idaho Winds LLC.

Idaho Power said the 21-megawatt wind project six miles northwest of Glenns Ferry will require substantial upgrades to its transmission network, so it wants to share costs with the wind project. The transmission upgrade is expected to be completed by July.

The commission is accepting comments on Idaho Power’s proposal through Nov. 22. Comments are accepted at www.puc.idaho.gov or at P.O. Box 83720, Boise, ID 83720-0074, or faxed to 208- 334-3762.
