The Internal Revenue Service is looking for more than 400 Idaho taxpayers who are owed refunds after their checks were returned as undeliverable.
The total amount owed Idahoans is $497,737; the average check amount is about $1,220.
IRS officials say a refund check is typically returned as undeliverable when a taxpayer moves without updating his or her address with either the U.S. Postal Service or the IRS.
