BBC News - Is Iran already under covert attack?

Plume of smoke after the explosion at Bid Ganeh
Seventeen Revolutionary Guards were killed in the explosion at Bid Ganeh at the weekend

Assassinations of nuclear scientists, a sophisticated cyber-attack, and now, last weekend, a mysterious blast at a munitions base that has killed the "godfather" of Iran's ballistic missile programme.

See, this is what we do. We say, "No, you can't do that," and then people are like, "Oh yeah? Watch me," and they learn how to lie and sneak around, 'cause people (and nations) are gonna do what they're gonna do. I don't want people (or nations, or my government) to have to lie and sneak, 'cause then I can't trust 'em and I gotta question everything. If I can accept that mistakes and accidents happen, and appreciate the honesty even when the bad choices piss me off, and let you feel safe bein' honest with me and feel safe bein' honest with you, then we can know that, quirks, foibles, and all, at least we each know who the other is and we can make conscious choices about the time we spend with one another, if any, and how we'll spend it. If Iran is 'going to have nuclear capabilities', then wouldn't it be better to know that and be able to deal with them in ways that keep us from bein' targets than to force them to gain it surreptitiously and always be wondering what they're really doin' and what they could do if they wanted. If communications are more open, and if we're willing to allow that our neighbors are also autonomous free-thinking nations (to whatever degree they are), then even if we don't agree (and on this front why shouldn't we? We've still got active nuclear silos all over Montana and Wyoming) at least we're all clear with each other and we can draw appropriate limits together.
