The churches built underground in the Ethiopian town of Lalibela draw tourists from all over the world.

Many marvel at just how an army of workers at the end of the 12th Century managed to chisel the 11 churches out of rock.

As the BBC's Will Ross reports the people of Lalibela are determined to preserve their religious heritage.
