Majesty Heights Fire from Our Front 'Yard'
Yesterday afternoon, just started; black smoke, structure fire; last night, from the road near the point of origin; little Dude, havin' some fun; previously unseen nocturnal visitor, probably displaced; this morning, from our driveway; around noon, when the winds shifted; point of origin in daylight, mostly just blackened grass until it gets up the hill a ways; this afternoon, moving northeast again; this evening, mostly quiet. Many thanks to all the firefighters who are participating in keeping everyone safe, and to everyone who kept the Creek in your thoughts and prayers. It could have been much worse (and still could be for folks still in it's path; wishing them well).
