Occupy Everything

I'm kind of excited about the 'Occupy Everything' movement. I have hoped for our revolutions to be peaceful (they are inevitable in economies like ours, and the next one was going to be global no matter what, given modern technology), but have had serious doubts at many junctures that that could ever happen. It might. Some are really trying to raise ire, posting videos of 'Old Ladies Beaten By Cops' (and if that's happening it's wrong), but most, it seems are determined to remember that a violent revolution will serve only leave us with a tyrannical regime, and only a pile of rubble to show for it all. Of course the economy has to change, and it will as our attitudes do.

I don't know if 'this is it', but it's something like we've never seen before and it can't be undone even if everyone goes home, back to their jobs and lives tomorrow. We can do it again, better, be more prepared to keep it even more peaceful and make even clearer statements (and will if the course of things doesn't change this time), and eventually something will change. If this movement stays on course, that change may well be in a positive direction. We're not hatin', we're just askin' for a little equity, not for the 99%, but for all humans being. Heck, if you do what it takes to amass a larger portion of wealth and therefore convenience in a world where no one's hungry, homeless, dying of thirst or poisoning from dirty water, everyone has the ability and opportunity to pursue whatever degree and level of education in whatever form is most conducive to their learning (everyone learns, all the time, it's unavoidable; it's what we learn that differs one person to the next, and even two people sitting next to one another in the same classroom are gettin' entirely different educations, not to mention those for whom the classroom doesn't work at all), and everyone can get the highest level of medical care they desire (and everyone's chosen form of health care is covered), and after governments are funded to do things that are appropriate to their level of governance, you're welcome to it. You deserve it. There's still plenty for those who offer unique and desired talents or who are just really good at marketing to collect, and for those of us who are mediocre at what we do or couldn't market ice to Floridians to at least gain from productive activities, rather than just treading water, getting by, paycheck to paycheck (or in some parts of our country and the world, not having to choose between a bottle of water or a gallon of gas, food not even part of the equation), no chance (no time, no money, no energy) to build upon talents outside conventional career paths. The super-rich could do a lot for a lot of people and not put any noticeable dent in their own style of living. Hopefully they will. And if they won't, it should be becoming clear by now that the people will eventually see to it that they're no longer super-rich, one way or another. Hopefully by teaching them the true power of a free market, not by burning their buildings to the ground.
