Uh-oh. The week comes in with a Sunday full of irritating energies. Virgo’s Moon is asking a lot of us, mostly that we make a genuine and concerted effort to remain positive in the face of what may feel like overwhelming negativity. When we’re not feeling fractious today, we’re feeling blocked. Earth, water, and fire are coming together in all the wrong ways, and what little air is working it’s way into the mix is buried under the other energies of the day. In other words, it will take Herculean effort to allow our thoughts to buoy our spirits. Despite all this, it’s one of the hallmarks of humanity that we’re able to overcome seemingly incredible odds, so take heart and hang in there. The Moon goes void of course after 5:30 PM MDT upon completion of her square with retrograde Pluto in Sagittarius (the day’s last big obstacle), leaving us in an emotional space wherein the evolution of our philosophies is blocking our efforts at self-improvement. The energy does improve almost subliminally over the next hour and a half, but for all intents and purposes the funk remains into Monday morning.

In the seconds before the Moon moves from Virgo into Libra at 2:09 AM she forms a sextile with Juno in Cancer. This configuration puts a strong stark spotlight on the family and asks us to take a hard critical look at how it’s functioning with the purpose of showing us where we’re able to make changes for the better. As quickly as it comes the moment passes, and our emotional selves experience significant lightening-up as Virgo’s pragmatic material earth is replaced by Libra’s cheery mental air. This will help us stay in higher mind when Gemini’s Sun blocks Pisces’ Uranus at 3:52 AM, putting us in a space where our self-expression is at odds with our evolving dreams. However, a door opens at 4:13 AM for us to take emotionally favorable creative action within our partnerships. (I might recommend with a wiggle of my eyebrows focusing on love relationships here, but it may apply also or instead to business partners.) Mid-morning we find ourselves facing another impediment when those same or other partnerships suffer from overemotional communications, and we feel the reverberations of those exchanges the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon. Early evening is better, even a bit lucky around a quarter after 9:00, but within a half hour we’re back to frictive, agitated energy, fairly typical before a growth spurt like the one we’ll experience just before 11:00 PM that carries us the rest of the day.

Tuesday isn’t as astrologically busy as the last couple of days have been, but it’s an exciting ride nonetheless. Opening on an agitated note, the energy of the day fluctuates between obstruction and luck throughout the morning, settling on luck for the afternoon, then sliding through an expansive phase into a separation between the manifestation of that to which we are attracted and our emotional attachment to that which we would consider our greatest good fortune. Other than that opposition, the major energies today are largely airy ones, so we can expect much of what takes place to be ‘all in our minds’, which makes it no less real or important, only means that what comes to us will be the beginnings of things, the thoughts that will become our realities. Pay particular attention to what comes around 10:00 AM. There will be an auspicious moment in which our balanced emotions support and embrace positive, creative self-expression. Use it or lose it.

The Moon goes void of course at 5:16 AM Wednesday after a sextile with retrograde Pluto in Sagittarius. This is a good start to the day, giving us a space in which to give our lives a once-over, applying intuition in clearing out the clutter and taking care of things that may have fallen into disrepair. We can’t expect it to be entirely fun or easy, but it’s a thing worth doing from time to time. At 1:42 PM when the Moon enters Scorpio our emotional bodies take on weight and depth, become tangible. This does not make things easier. The series of impediments this afternoon and evening is disrupted only by some growing pains and a bit of anxiety. The thing to remember on days like this is that obstructions ask us not to stop what we’re trying to do, but to be creative in finding ways to do it. Once we find the keys to these challenges they’ll create a solid, firm foundation for our next steps.

This obstinate energy continues into Thursday morning. There’s a bright spot shortly after 6:00 AM when deep in the bowels of our emotional selves we find answers to some questions we’ve been dealing with in our homes. At 9:05 AM issues of what we’ve gained from our forebears and what we’ll leave behind come into sharp relief as they relate to our recent and ongoing reevaluation of what constitutes greater good fortune. The rest of the morning is a bit rough and we feel a bit of disconnection in the afternoon that carries into the early evening, but if we allow ourselves to drift through it without getting too attached to a particular outcome we’re set for some providence around the dinner hour which leads to a slightly wider playing field over the next hour or so. As is often the case with change there’s a bit of agitation thrown in the mix, but the evening culminates in an opportunistic energy that stays with us through the night.

Friday begins with friction between Gem’s Sun and Leo’s Mars, as our creative thoughts resist our creative actions. This is a developmental phase, but as always there are complications to be overcome. The Moon goes void of course at 3:11 AM after completing a square with Aquarius’ retrograde Neptune, but the rest of the morning is generally blessed regardless and this carries through to the early afternoon when a bit of progress in our thinking leads to a period of apprehension with regard to our families. We’ll want to work with this through the afternoon and evening, taking care to focus on the positive results we have the opportunity to bring forth. Light, heat, and a sense of direction return to our emotional state at 10:06 PM when the Moon enters Sagittarius, bringing intuition and an optimistic undercurrent to bear on our personal philosophies. The rest of the evening is not without tension, but is essentially fortunate overall.

It’s been a challenging week, so it’s nice to see Saturday coming in on a positive note. There’s a moment of irritation at home immediately after 6:00 AM, but the rest of the day is lucky, lucky, lucky, with some growth and opportunity thrown in for good measure. What a relief! It’s to be hoped that we’ve done our best to maintain a cheerful attitude through this week’s challenges in order that we may gain the maximum benefit of today’s offerings. The dominant influences today are Sag and Leo, both fire signs. Leo brings creativity and vigor to the table and Sag, while a spiritual sign at the core, strongly incorporates mental energy as the sign of philosophy, higher learning, and broad concepts. With the Sun currently in Gemini, the sign of thought, our psychological landscape is enlivened and refreshed today as fire and air work symbiotically to cleanse and renew, to release the seeds from our more serotinous intellectual cones, as it were. The later evening is a good one for communication with family and in general, which makes it a nice night for socializing. Let’s enjoy the respite. :->

As always, take good care folks.

Love,
Peace
