Weekly Horoscope, May 28-June 3, 2006

The week begins with a mixed bag, as Sunday's energy fluctuates from positive to negative and back again all day. The trick to days like this is to maintain a positive attitude in periods of negative energy in order that when things turn positive again in the wider world our internal energy is aligned and ready to accept what comes. We spend the early part of the day stuck in our thoughts, and at 10:30 AM MDT our emotions jump into the mix which, while uncomfortable at first, brings a welcome bit of stability. The morning's subsequent developments carry us through the afternoon to a point of new possibility around 4:23 PM in terms of action we may take regarding that which attracts us, after which the Moon is void of course until entering her home sign of Cancer at 5:33. There's some minor emotional discomfort at home in the early evening, and just before 8:30 those actions we were called upon to take earlier bring some difficult spiritual evolution, which resolves very shortly into a burst of fortunate communication involving a reworking of our dreams.
In the early morning hours of Monday, we experience some doubt surrounding the new directions we discovered just last night; hopefully we won't let it disturb our sleep. At 5:41 AM, Venus, which has been void of course since 4:23 PM yesterday, enters Taurus. Venus is the planet of magnetic attraction and subtle fortune, and Taurus is one of the signs she rules (along with Libra), the sign of money and possessions. This position bodes well for that to which we are attracted taking on substance and form in our material world. This energy is supported throughout the day, with a minor bump at 1:00 PM, and a more noticeable one just before 10:00 involving rough play between our mental energies and our work ethic. Otherwise it's a largely lucky day; hopefully we can let that carry us through the difficult spots.
Tuesday is a big day, or rather a day of big energies. Big does not necessarily equal pleasant, but as always attitude can make a tremendous amount of difference. The main theme today is expansion, largely in terms of home and family, but at 7:15 AM our manifestations are brought up short by our ideals, and at 3:00 PM there's a particularly unpleasant grating between our external and internal energies. It will probably be best at that juncture to keep our thoughts largely to ourselves and let them sort themselves out, as they're likely to do over the course of the next several hours. Just before 10:00 we're able to express ourselves concerning what we hope to bring forward from the scars of our past, but with the Moon void of course from 9:42 until it's entry into Leo at 1:51 AM tomorrow and Aquarius retrograde we can expect fairly major changes before all is said and done.
The skies are busy Wednesday. It opens on an irritating note that continues through much of the day, but not without being punctuated by some moments of good fortune and opportunity. Significant points today are a square just before 6:30 AM in which our spiritual energy stands in the way of manifesting that which attracts us, a fiery conjunction shortly after 3:30 PM in which our emotions and our work ethic come together around a renewed sense of fun and creativity, an opposition at almost a quarter after 10:00 between what we think and what we're learning, and an opportunity just after 10:30 to effectively communicate our emotions followed about twenty minutes later by a deep-seated block to our greater fortune as our spiritual and emotional selves find themselves in a tussle. Things do not improve before the night is over, but comfort can always be taken in knowing that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger (if we let it).
After Wednesday's busyness, Thursday's quiet skies are a welcome relief. Even better, the day's overwhelming energy is expansive, full of spiritual fire fed by mental air, with a splash of emotional water and a dash of physical earth to keep things cool and steady. It's a day of reexamination, with the majority of activated planets being retrograde, and there's an anxious moment at ten after 9:00 AM when our emotional attachment to the legacy we intend to leave the world gets a little overheated. The last energetic feature of the day is a feeling of separation just before ten to 5:00 PM between our internal world and the dreams we hope to make real. Since the rest of the afternoon is quiet, this is a good space in which to give those dreams a once-over and make sure they're aligned with our truest desires.
Friday gets going around ten to 5:00 AM with a fiery, if somewhat convoluted burst of luck, which leads to a day of much growth. However, much of that growth takes place between 10:35 AM and 1:18 PM, while the Moon is void of course on her way from Leo into Virgo, so we can expect to be doing a fair amount of pruning under Virgo's analytical influence. Self-examination will be key over the next few days, but this afternoon and evening it won't be particularly easy and we need to give ourselves a break when we start to feel frazzled as we're likely to in the late afternoon and last thing in the evening.
Saturday begins with an earthy, auspicious energy as Virgo's Moon trines Venus in Taurus, bringing our emotions into harmony with our manifest desires shortly after 12:30 AM. This is quickly followed by a mental growth spurt, but with Mercury having been void of course in Gemini since 10:35 AM yesterday until it's entrance into Cancer at 4:21 AM today that growth will continue to be somewhat wild and we can expect to be coming back to it for trimming and taming in the next little while. Also void of course since 9:42 PM Tuesday has been Mars, which enters Leo at 11:43 AM today bringing a spate of determined, willful, effective activity. However, despite the positive, open energy we were privy to this morning, now that we're ready to start doing the things we've been spending so much time thinking about lately the energy turns obstinate and fractious and remains that way through the afternoon and evening. If we'll keep our chins up and remember what it is we're working for, the evening ends just after 11:30 PM with a pleasant little bit of luck which offers a nice boost to our career and reputation provided we've set our sights appropriately and stayed on course through the trying times. Though it is a positive note upon which to end the week, it can't be said that it will be particularly comfortable for most folks. (You Capricorns will have an advantage under this energy. Take the break you rarely give yourself and enjoy it, 'kay? :->)
